Sick Day September is a three-piece,post-core punk/emo rock outfit from Port Elizabeth,South Africa.This band began their creative process of writing music which would hit listners in a dominating,but emotional way.In february 2006,Liam and Mike both from their previous band Skoff, needed a bit more than just a failed attempt and approached Wade who then left his previous band Skewer.The meeting was good and the agreement was met,SDS was born.What is SICK DAY SEPTEMBER? Wade says:"On September 11th 2001,now infamously known as 9/11,i got home in a really good mood knowing it was my mother's birthday..the tv was on and live footage of planes exploding into the twin towers killed me,death breaks me.'Sick' is a slang for 'awesome' which directs to the emotion i was in before the attacks happened.And because that attack happened on the day of my mothers birthday i feel happy to celebrate it,but sad to always know what else took place that dark day.It will always remind me of a sick day in september!"
