ARTIST - Sela

Sela is basically an original band that is in it for the love of music, and for the love of performing. Founded in late 2005 the band has played plenty of shows at well known venues around Philadelphia including the Clef Club, the Fire, North Star Bar, and world cafe live. They have a hip hop groove that infuses rock n roll, soul, pop, jazz, and whatever is needed to create amazing music. A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed muhammad recognized the We need you campaign as "the best thing I've heard so far in 08."Even more spectacular is their live show. Under the lyrical stylings of David Martin, Sela makes sure the crowd is pleased when they leave the venue. Stellar arrangements, classic hip hop call and response, and rock n roll jams are of abundance during the time spent with these guys.
