About

Emerging from a city that has the nickname, "Crabpot City" (due to the stupendous attitude, of holding other independent artists back), in 2003 four solo artists conformed together to create one of the best independent southern rap groups in the Carolinas called the "RENAGADA MOB". Renagada Mob's members were Unidentified, Platinum, Streets and L. Dot. The members of the group all are from the Charlotte, N.C. and surrounding areas and have been focusing on one dream, which is to show the world they can over come obstacles in life, and as long as they stay humble and hungry with dedication and focus, they will definitely find their way to the top. One of the obstacles that the group endured, was facing the death of group member, Derrick Nixon aka "Streetz" back on July 20th, 2007. He was not only a friend to the members but more like a brother and the group makes sure to never let him be forgotten in various songs the group has recorded. Ever since the death of "Streetz", Renagada Mob has been pushing to engrave their mark in the Carolinas. They have done a various amount of live shows from your local clubs to opening up for national recording artist. If you have been to one of the latest Renagada Mob live performances you can't help but to be intrigued by the group; because you hear an extensive lyrical delivery and smooth-southern swagger from rapper "Platinum". Then you'll probably hear " Okaaaaay " or if you see a young energetic rapper with dreds feeling the music pump through his whole body, to the beat of the 808 kick, then that will most likely be "L. Dot". If you hear a highly distinguished gutta southern voice, with drastic and creative lyrics like Tupac, then that's "Unidentified". "This groups chemistry sets the venue on fire, every time they perform"...(says Jason Bells of the Charlotte Observer)
