Growing up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago Natalie Semkiw began singing at age 11. Prior to singing she began to play
piano. And about a year ago she moved out on her own without her piano and decided to learn acoustic guitar without knowing
how to even read music! The melodies, lyrics, and song arrangements she writes for herself are based off her own personal
life experiences. "If you actually open your eyes to view what music brings, it's phenominal. You can be surrounded by the
worst and listen to one song that will make you feel like you can defeat anything. And it's not about the fame, or the success.
It's about when a song comes on and you can dance your troubles away, cry your eyes out, be inspired to do things, feel things.
