Little Rock, Arkansas gave you Evanescence...Fayetteville, Arkansas now gives you KiND. The band formed in 1998 under the direction of vocalist Jt Thornton and guitarist Brad Monday. Over the next four years, with the additions of Eric Drewery on drums and Shane Williamson on bass, Kind refined their sound. Touring from Memphis to L.A., playing SXSW, performing in front of a crowd of more than 12000 screaming people, and having songs such as overamped, break yourself, and **** worm making play lists on several radio stations across the Midwest has given them the experience that most unsigned bands only dream of. Because of the more than 500 live performances, 51 years of playing experience between the four members of the band, and a song featured on an internationally available extreme sports DVD, KiND took home the Ozark Music Awards Metal Band of the Year 2004.
